Cerebral Palsy

Disorders that affect a person's ability to move and maintain balance and posture.

Inguinal paralysis

It runs along either side of your pubic bone. You may notice a bulge in the area that gets bigger or hurts more when you cough or strain.

Choking tendons

Tendons have become stuck to surrounding tissue and have lost some of their range of movement. This can cause loss of movement, which in most cases is minor.

Tendon choking relief

More serious cases of tendon adhesion require surgery to free the stuck tendon.

Tendon resections

During tendon repair surgery, the surgeon makes one or more small incisions over the injured tendon.

Nerve cutting operations

A neurectomy is a type of nerve block involving the severing or removal of a nerve.

Arteries and venous cuts and repairs

When an artery is cut, the wound bleeds as pulses due to the high pressure. Bleeding is rated as highly serious as soon as making sure that both one's heart and lungs function properly.

Return the amputated arm

Replantation is the surgical reattachment of a finger, hand or arm that has been completely cut from a person's body.

Transferring the toe from the foot to the hand

Toe to hand transfer is a procedure where a toe is transplanted onto the hand to replace a digit (usually a thumb, sometimes a finger).

Ordinary and double fracture surgeries

Open reduction, and internal fixation- this involves a surgery to repair the fracture-frequently, metal rods, screws or plates are used to repair the bone, and remain in place, under the skin, after the surgery.

Upper and lower extremity fractures

Upper and lower extremity fractures involve a break in the continuity of the bones of the upper or lower extremities. The bones may crack slightly or can break into many pieces.

Elbow joint fractures and dislocations

The elbow is the second most commonly dislocated joint of the upper extremity, and more than one quarter of dislocations are associated with elbow fractures .

Fractures and dislocation of the wrist joint

Most wrist fractures and dislocations are a result of axial loading on the outstretched palm and extended wrist, usually from a fall on outstretched hand, motor vehicle accident, or sports contact injury.

Shoulder fractures and dislocations

Fractures are broken bones. Fractures commonly involve the clavicle (collar bone), proximal humerus (top of the upper arm bone), and scapula (shoulder blade).

Fractures and dislocations of the joints

Fractures are breaks or cracks in the bone(s), while dislocations are when a bone moves out of place from its usual connecting joint. Both fractures and dislocations can be very painful.

Nerve transfer and tendon transfer

A nerve transfer is a surgical procedure that can be used to restore movement and feeling in limbs. It is commonly used when a patient has a nerve injury that causes a complete loss of movement or sensation.

Tendon implants

After an injury, some of your muscles may not move correctly. A tendon transfer is a surgery that moves a working muscle and tendon to replace a non-working muscle and tendon.

Microscopic vascular surgeries

Microvascular surgery is used to reattach severed fingers, hands, arms, and another amputated parts to the body. This is done by reconnecting the small blood vessels, thus restoring circulation before the injured tissue begins to die. Microvascular is also used in reconstructive surgery.

Muscle slice transfer

Muscle transfer is a proven way of using either working facial muscles or muscles from another area of the body to provide motion to paralyzed areas of the face.

Brain oxygen deficiency

Brain hypoxia is when the brain isn't getting enough oxygen. This can occur when someone is drowning, choking, suffocating, or in cardiac arrest.

Tendon transfer

A tendon transfer is a surgical process in which the insertion of a tendon is moved, but the origin remains in the same location.

Tendon lengthening

Surgical procedure that aims to stretch the Achilles tendon to allow a person to walk flat-footed without a bend in the knee, or to bring relief to chronic pain. This procedure elongates a contracted Achilles tendon by making small cuts on the tendons at the back of the ankle.

Distortion adjustment

When distortion control is applied to an image either in-camera or through software it corrects barrel or pin cushion distortion that occurs in images due to the characteristics of specific lenses.

Pediatric orthopedic surgery

Pediatric orthopedics is a branch of medicine devoted to treating children's joints, muscles, and bones. Because children's bodies are still growing, they have a very different joint, muscle, and bone makeup than adults.

Hip dislocation

A traumatic hip dislocation is when the ball of the hip joint is pushed out of the socket. This injury most commonly occurs during an auto collision or a high-impact fall, workplace or sports injury, especially those that also result in a broken leg or pelvis.

Dislocation of a joint around the knee

A dislocated knee occurs when the position of the thighbone relative to the shinbone becomes disrupted at the knee joint. It can happen through trauma to your leg, like from falls, sports injuries, and car accidents.

Dislocation of the elbow joint

A dislocated elbow occurs when the bones that make up the joint are forced out of alignment — typically when you land on an outstretched hand during a fall. The elbow is the second most commonly dislocated joint after the shoulder in adults, and the most commonly dislocated joint in children.
